Kate could hurry with curry.... Seriously eat curry?!

Kate Middleton
Any minute now, Kate ... the world
keenly awaits the arrival of the royal baby

Kate could hurry baby with curry, weepy or nooky

Why are we waiting, why are we waiting...

THE Duchess of Cambridge is due any minute now and, with Kate hoping for a natural labour, she will soon be keen to get things going without the help of medics.

With the world eagerly awaiting the delivery of the royal baby, The Sun enlisted the help of NATASHA HARDING, author of From Bump To Baby, to offer these top tips for inducing labour naturally...

Fruit tea

MANY women swear by drinking raspberry leaf tea in their third trimester. The herbal brew is thought to stimulate the muscles around the uterus to help prepare for labour.

Sex

A BIT of nooky can help kick-start labour. It releases the hormone oxytocin, which helps bring on contractions. Prostaglandins in semen can stimulate the cervix and an orgasm relaxes the uterus.

Tear jerker

Weepy

YOU might finally persuade your other half to sit down and watch that weepy rom-com. Crying can let out lots of pent-up emotion and helps relaxation, often bringing on the first contractions.

Bath

Bathtime
Bathtime ... a hot bath can relax your muscles
TAKING a soak in water that is not too hot can help. It can relax every part of your body – a key factor in bringing on labour.

Birthing ball

BOUNCING gently on a birthing ball can encourage the baby to get moving. Sitting on the ball in a wide-legged, squat position and rocking and rolling the hips is soothing and really gets the muscles stimulated.

Pineapple

WHEN eaten in large quantities, the fruit, which contains the enzyme bromelain, can soften the cervix and stimulate tummy muscles, getting the uterus in labour mode.

Scrubbing

CLEANING the floor on your hands and knees is a position which helps move baby into an ideal birth pose. It also rolls the hips, soothing the back and “jiggling the baby” through the birth canal.

Spicy food

THE spicy ingredients can stimulate the tummy and uterus, putting a bit of fire behind the labour. So, if you plan on getting a takeaway, opt for a vindaloo.
