The Cambridges
broke with tradition to have their son christened.

In royal tradition,
christening of royal babies takes place
in the Music Room of Buckingham Palace.
But Prince William and Kate Middleton chose the Chapel Royal for the reasons,
"more personal" than royal.
William and Kate chose Chapel Royal as this is where the body of Diana,
Princess of Wales,
Prince George's paternal grandmother,
rested for five days before her public
 funeral on 6 September 1997.
"It's a special place for William.
Having the service there is his way of involving his mother,
who he so wishes could be here for all of this.

Christening outfits
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a Jane Taylor pill box hat
a custom-made skirt suit that was designed by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton
 - the same designer who crafted her now-famous wedding dress.
while baby George wore a replica of the antique dress his dad and Uncle Harry wore at their own christenings.
